Our story

Fuel Wave was started in Wilmington by Joshua Carbuto, Weston Whitmire and Nathan Chambers, three UNCW graduates. We began by fueling marine businesses at the dock, so their boats never had to leave the job to get fuel.

Boat owners, contractors, farmers and homeowners soon asked for the same service. Today we deliver fuel to marine and commercial customers across the North Carolina coast.

Our fleet has trucks built for different jobs, each with 350 feet of hose. Every fuel has its own hose, pump and federally tested meter, so fuels never mix. We carry off-road fuel only.
